Dove Recovery House for Women Names Chief Clinical Officer
Shelly Falconer selected as new executive leader for women’s recovery residence
Dove Recovery House for Women has named Shelly Falconer as its first Chief Clinical Officer. In this new leadership role for Dove House, Falconer leads the nonprofit’s clinical services under the guidelines of Trauma Informed Care and the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM). She oversees the clinical team in Marion County and Dubois County and continuously works to enhance the evidence-based curriculum for the highly successful program.
“Shelly’s unique background and extensive experience in the mental and behavioral health space is a tremendous asset to Dove House,” said Dove House CEO Wendy Noe. “She is the ideal person to take on the Chief Clinical Officer role and continue to elevate Dove House’s high-quality clinical programming.”
Before joining the Dove House team, Falconer was the Behavioral Health Director for Marine Corps Community Services. During her six years with Marine Corps Community Services, she had clinical and administrative oversight of all behavioral health programs, from family advocacy to substance abuse. Prior to this, Falconer served as the Vice President of Mental Health Systems, Inc.
“Every day at Dove House, I get to bear witness to the strength of the women who live and work here,” said Falconer. “As Chief Clinical Officer, I am able to participate in service delivery that understands substance use is a symptom of a much deeper internal challenge rooted in trauma. I am pleased to be part of an organization that prioritizes a holistic approach to empowering women to become substance-free, self-sufficient and mentally and physically healthy.”
For nearly 11 years, Falconer has empowered men and women through various professional roles, including direct support services to those struggling with mental illness, substance abuse, domestic violence and sexual assault. She earned her Master of Social Work from Indiana University and her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from Indiana University. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of California and a Clinical Social Worker in the State of Indiana.
