Welcome to the Dove House Team: Introducing Executive Admin Assistant Vickie York
By now you’ve heard the news—Dove House is growing! To help us stay organized and efficient throughout this exciting new chapter, we’ve brought on a very talented executive assistant, Vickie York. We think Vickie is just the person to help take Dove House to the next level, and we think you’ll agree.
Vickie joins the Dove House team with more than a decade of experience in office management, and most recently served as the regional office manager at Corizon Health where she worked for nine years. Although she was happy in her previous role, when she heard about the position at Dove House, she knew she had to apply.
“I was attracted to Dove House because of the mission and everything they do to help so many women who are struggling with addiction,” said Vickie.
In her role as the executive admin assistant, she will work side by side with the executive director, Wendy Noe, as well as the entire Dove House staff. And while she loves keeping everything and everyone organized, she also looks forward to working for a nonprofit with a mission that is close to her heart, as a person in long-term recovery herself.
This year, Vickie will celebrate 18 years of sobriety, a gift for which she is truly grateful.
“I’m so passionate about Dove House’s work due to my own personal experiences,” said Vickie. “Watching other women succeed in sobriety and have a chance to become the best version of themselves is an amazing thing to be a part of.”
When Vickie is not hard at work, you can find her spending quality time with her 17-year-old son, boating on Lake Monroe and attending Indianapolis Colts football games.
Welcome to the team, Vickie!
